I gave birth to a toddler 🤦🏻‍♀️

Starting at about 33 weeks, my appts ended with the Dr or midwife saying that baby was either “huge” or “generously sized”. On 1/8, at 38+4, I finally agreed to be checked and found out I was 4 cm and 80% effaced. At this point, the midwife said that my body was ready, baby was ready, and I could ask to be induced at any time. At 39 weeks, I was sent to L&D for decreased fetal movement and again, the midwife and nurses said I could have the baby at any time and that studies show that the optimal time for induction is 39 weeks. I ended up being induced yesterday at 39+1. My water was broken at 1:15 PM, I got an epidural around 7, when I was around 5 cm. They had me rotate which side I was laying on around 8:30, which caused EXTREME pain/burning, so they checked to see what was going on. Apparently changing positions caused the baby to drop very quickly and I was 10 cm and ready to push. After 3 minutes, baby was out... weighing 10 lbs 10 oz 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now I’ve got some newborn clothes to return...
