Doc a tot

Question

Hey, I have heard so many different things about the doc a tot. That people love them and their babies sleep better with it. Also someone told me they read a consumer report saying it's unsafe. I was told the size are breathable. Does anyone have any info on this?

They’re not safe for sleeping. Even though it says the sides are “breathable”, they can still trap CO2 between your baby’s face and the sides causing suffocation in small infants. They can be used only under strict supervision, which means essentially staring at your baby at all times while using this in order to be able to move her face away from the sides of she scoots too close. My son used to sleep in his Halo bassinet with his face literally pressed to the mesh sides and squishing his nose/lips, so I would personally be terrified to use something like this, or anything without mesh sides for sleeping/napping.
