No LH surge?

I was on the pill from age 18-28 but got off of it and had an IUD placed 4.5 years ago. At my 1mo follow up exam to confirm placement was still good, I was told I appeared to be extremely fertile (lady actually stopped mid ultrasound and called me a “fertile myrtle”! For someone who was single at the time it was a little unsettling haha). Now married, isn’t husband and I want to start a family and I got my IUD out on Nov 1. Got my first real period since getting the IUD on Nov 3. I’ve never been one to track my cycles so this is all very new to me (I’m literally browsing the discussion boards on here and googling acronyms, etc). I’ve been using ovulation tests but I never seem to get a “positive”/LH surge during my assumed fertile window days and I’m a little disheartened. Obviously I know it can take some time to conceive but to be honest I’m impatient 🤷🏼‍♀️, and honestly consider myself ignorant on most information regarding pregnancy - I grew up with brothers a single dad for a good portion of my childhood, and didn’t become friends with my stepmom until adulthood. 
I did read one article that said it could take up to 3 months for my body to regulate hormones post-IUD removal, but would that really have such an effect on LH surge? 
I’m supposedly almost at the end of my fertile window and have “2 days left”. I’ve been testing 2x a day for the last week just in case LH surge is at night. And I’m still getting negative results:

Keep on testing. I didnt get a postive until cd 29 this month. My periods are usually regular, but every couple of months I get a really late one. Apparently I ovulate late those months and I wouldn't have known if I didnt keep testing. Especially since you're fresh post IUD, your hormones are still a little out of whack and you might not fit into the predicted fertile days.

I didn’t ovulate until cycle day 32 this month!

It can take a while to get your cycle regular again yes. So you could ovulate later then you think. Keep testing and see.
