Husband “forgetting” to wear wedding ring

I’m not sure what I should do about this. Essentially it’s just what the title says, my husband works for a cleaning company that he basically works alone all day going to peoples houses. Since he started this job a few months ago he has been wearing his ring less and less. I brought it up to him wondering if maybe he needed a rubber ring or something cause I know in some jobs the metal ring gets in the way but he just says oh no I forgot to put it on. At this point though it’s like one day out of the week he will wear it and the rest he forgets. But when I go to work or anywhere out of the house he is always making sure I have my ring on and gets upset if I don’t.

I really don’t know what I’m asking, I don’t think he’s cheating but I just don’t know why he suddenly won’t wear it.

Also we’ve been married for almost 3 years and he has never had an issue of forgetting his ring before.

If anyone has had this issue and resolved it I would be grateful for some advice.
