I would really recommend using this exfoliator or the other scrub that Clinique has that they recommended to use twice a week, but I use it more often and my face is perfect.
Then make sure you are using a toner after.  It can be the thayers rose witch hazel or Clinique toner depending on if you have oily or dry skin. 
Then add a serum.  I use a vitamin c serum that’s water based.
Last, use a retinoid face cream.
