My 6 week old

Son always has to cry and fuzz when going to bed in our bedroom he has his own bassinet he cry’s and cry’s we only put him in bassinet when he is asleep which can take hours and hours , my husband will lay him in bed with him until my son falls sleep I stay in the living room watchin tv sometimes , I don’t know why my son does this every night is it the room he hates the darkness?? I don’t get it it’s crazy and a bit overwhelming and stressful will this phase pass? During the day he is great, will take his naps doesn’t cry much very chilled out i dread nights :(
