Sooo happy

Rachael • 19 Mumma to a baby girl born June 2020

Okay so I just wanted to make this post to show that being young and pregnant isn’t all bad!! So I’m currently 19 weeks and I got pregnant when I still had 2 months of high school left which I finished and passed! Pretty much things have been rough I was going to go to university and study primary teacher this year but have had to change plans. Today I phoned them up to say I couldn’t study this year but they said if I apply for next year I’ll more than likely get in without having to go through the interview process again! Also I got a scholarship for it which is a leaving school scholarship you can only get if your going to uni straight out of school - well they let me defer it so I can have it next year because I’m having a baby and have a reason I can’t use it this year!! I also had a job interview today to do child care up until my baby is due which went super well and I hear back from the lady in the weekend but it’ll be 35 hours a week so I’ll be able to get money for the baby so I can take time off when it arrives. Pretty much although my pregnancy made life not go to plan everything haha turned out well. I’m going to be working up until the baby is born and then have 6/7 months off with the baby before going to university to study my degree. I’m going to be a single mom to an amazing child but also get where I want to in life. I’m so happy with my life and I can’t wait for this adventure. I do worry about leaving my baby in child care so young but worse comes to the worse I’ll still be able to get into my degree in 2022 too!! You are all going to be amazing moms and you’ve all got this!
