Is it ok to track your kids after 18?

So I like this guy, but he grew up as a jahovas witness. He went to public school until 8th grade, then his parents homeschooled him all of high school (not his idea). I met him because we worked at the same place, and we both knew we had feelings for one another. But his parents don’t allow him to date and they have a tracker on his phone and his car. He says “I’ve never done anything crazy , but they act like I go out partying every day”

They also just submitted an application for a job in his name without telling him, and he got a random call about being a silverware boy (or something). Btw he’s 19 now.

Any advice I can give him??
