Miscarriage Support

First off, I would like to say that I am not having a miscarriage and I hope I never do 🤞.

I'm writing this post because I was speaking to my friend the other day, who had a miscarriage at around 5/6 weeks, who told me that when she had her miscarriage, she was offered absolutely no support for the loss she encountered from the health professionals.

See what I was confused by with all your lovely posts, is that your doctors actually take your blood to test your hcg count, and even test again to see a rise.

So I asked my midwife last year when I was pregnant with my first baby why I can't have my hcg levels tested for peace of mind, she said if we detect you are going to have a miscarriage, there is absolutely nothing we can do, why test you for things when you have absolutely no control over the situation.

This annoyed because she was almost implying like, yeah miscarriages are sad, but you'll get over it.

In the UK, there is absolutely no support or help when you have a miscarriage, in the states you have your hcg levels tested, even this gives you preparation for what is going to come.

The only time you get support, is if you lose a baby after 24 weeks, which is considered to be a stillbirth rather than a miscarriage.

This post was just a rant really, I definitely think something needs to be put in place.
