Family fat shames my 4year old..

Sarah

It sounds exactly like the title says, my family makes comments (at least once a week) to my precious 4 year old on her appearance. to give a reference she is 110cm, about 15-16kg im not sure from her last check up. and the doctor said she's marginal / normal weight.

In the past my mum has asked my daughter (she was 3+ that time) to step on the scale, and made dumb remarks like "only 13kg?! you better eat more rice!" i was really disgusted they did that but because at that time i was recovering postpartum i had to let it slide, i chose not to ruffle up feathers in my mum's house cos she will just go off about i dote on your kids, you dont tell me im wrong.

my daughter has been a somewhat picky eater since 2+, a lot of things happened, we moved between 2 houses, 1 pregnancy, she started preschool, i am not a perfect parent but i try to provide good balanced meals for her and model good eating habits, she runs at the park as early as 7am (if i manage to get out with her and she can outrun me easily). she doesnt even like fruit juice, she likes chocolate milk but i limit it.

my brother just said to my face she's getting fat i said why do u say that.. he said cant you see her double chin? my daughter was right next to me..
