Worried my 7 month old isn’t eating enough

At 4 months we got the go ahead from my sons doctor to start rice cereal and purées, he was doing amazing until he was 6 and a half months and now I can barely get him to eat any purées, he’s only interested in having rice cereal (and only the plain kind). I’ve even tried mixing the purées into the rice cereal to try and trick him but nope, he will refuse to eat it, he will only have a few bites.

I figured maybe it’s time to start some table foods and some little treats such as rice rusks. Everything I try he chokes on, and I’m not exaggerating, I’m aware that gagging is all part of the process but he is not gagging, he is full on choking. His face will turn red and he is not able to cough or make noise and I have to scoop whatever is in his throat out with my finger almost every day. I have tried cutting his food super small or giving him a big piece of something to fit in his hand (kind of like baby led weaning).

As far as formula he has 5, 6oz bottles a day, usually every 3-4 hours and he sleeps through the night usually, but the last few days he’s been waking up for bottles during the night. I think he could be going through a growth spurt or I’m going to try feeding him more before he goes to sleep.

He’s still wetting his diapers and pooping regularly, he is also teething and has 4 teeth so maybe he’s losing appetite due to that

I’m feeling so guilty as a first time mom 😩

Also yes I have posted something like this before but I failed to mention that he chokes on everything and it just feels like maybe he’s not ready for table foods yet.
