High blood pressure. 32 weeks... risk of preeclampsia
I’m 32 weeks pregnant and since the beginning of my pregnancy my midwife put me on aspirin to help prevent the risk of developing preeclampsia as i’m at risk due to my age (18) and my mum having it with both of her pregnancies.
She came round to do my routine appointment the other day and my blood pressure was 132/88... this isn’t super high but very high for me from what it was at my booking appointment.
She said to just watch out for signs of preeclampsia such as headaches, swelling and rib pain, and she’s coming back in five days to check on it as it can come on rapidly.
Yesterday I started experiencing a non stop headache which no medication didn’t help so I phoned triage. Turns out my blood pressure was 152/90, I think this was because I was also worrying aswell.
I’m worrying i’m developing preeclampsia... does this mean they’ll have to induce me or a caesarean if it gets worse??
