Do you still cut your LO’s food into tiny pieces? See picture.

I would love to give her bigger pieces but the girl doesn’t know how to pace herself. She shoves in handfuls at a time and it’s scary!

Depends on the foods. High risk foods like grapes, blueberries or sausages we still cut into small pieces but most other foods break in his mouth and we're encouraging him to use his teeth. I'm still super nervous about it, but dad isn't so I'm trying to trust my baby more while being on standby in case anything goes wrong. He does struggle sometimes and I have to intervene but he's getting there.

👆 Zuchinni and corn fritters break up when he eats them. But I still cut up the smoked salmon and give him shredded cheese.

👆 He'll demolish his Nan's cookies because they're nice and crumbly.

We still cut her food, but not that small. With the slightly bigger pieces she will actually spit it back out if she gets too much in there.

Omg not that small lol how does she pick it up?! My son used to do the same thing with handfuls. Try at first only givingnher one at a time. I also just corrected him and would say "bite" or "one at a time" while I took the other food put of his hands or held a larger pieve for him to bite. He actually caught on pretty quick

This is how I cut my sons food up. To me this is still small, I'd like to give him bigger bits but hes a little piggy and rams food into his mouth.
It's a cheese and ham omelette with some toast and a chicken sausage. The sizes I cut his food up depends on what it is he is eating, some things I can leave bigger and some things I have to break up smaller.

I cut my little ones food up, not usually this small but still small enough to where I know he can’t choke and i won’t give him that much on his plate bc he also stuffs his mouth and I’m paranoid

I cut it up but I’m paranoid. Unfortunately, I’m unsure how much longer I should and we ask the pediatrician he’s refusing to eat small pieces he wants it whole.

I still cut her food but not this small, I’m not even sure if I’ve ever cut food this small in general 😂. I also have a 3 year old though so if she looks over and realizes their plates look too different, all hell breaks loose. Obviously though there are some things I can’t/won’t budge on, but for the most part she gets decently bite sized pieces. For example for breakfast I’ll make her a plain omelet and cube it, cut her toast into 4 squares and chop her fruit into bite sized pieces.

I mostly cut things into strips, just so it’s easier for her to pick it up, or anything I would cut up to eat myself like meat.

Just grapes and when we occasionally have hotdogs. I don’t cut anything else I wouldn’t cut for myself.
