Long distance relationship

Jess

So, I’m brazilian, and my boyfriend is italian.

I’ve lived in France for two years and it was during that period that we’ve met. When I was traveling in Italy for my vacations.

We hit it off right away, hooked up and kept talking a lot. Eventually (about 4 months after meeting for the first time), we decided to go steady and make it a relationship.

We’d meet once a month for a weekend.

Then, 7 months after, I had to go back to Brazil.

Before leaving I told him I was ok keeping this (now ultra) long distance relationship, but I needed and endgame.

So we agreed to find a way to being together by march. If we didn’t find a job, we’d get married, since this is an easier way out.

Now it’s January, I’m EXHAUSTED of this long distance thing, how much of energy we have to out in it, how frustrating and sad it is, and every time I bring up the marriage idea he just reacts as if I was proposing he’d cut an arm off.

He says he’s opposed to marriage in general (and I’m not a believer either), but understands that it is an option for us, specifically. I just don’t feel he is ready for it.

And I’m not willing to keep it long distance indefinitely...

Has anyone in a LDR been through it?

I said I’d prefer end things now, but damn, this hurts. #ldr #relationship #longdistance
