Freezing breast milk amount?

How much are you freezing/pumping/saving a day? I started saving last week and I only have 20 ounces so far. I usually only get 2-3 ounces a day since my 4 week old cluster feeds.

I used my haakaa quiet a bit but have decreased the use of it and use my electric breath pump. In one session of using the electric pump, I can get 6oz and up to 8oz in the morning and before I sleep. I place half the amount in 2 bags so about 3-4oz in  each.

I get 2-4 oz per session, and will freeze bags of 4oz. Babe is 5 weeks old and I think I have 5 bags in the freezer. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We rarely end up needing a bottle for our babies, so I don’t use a pump very much.

I'm usually freezing 18 oz a day. But I have an oversupply, so that's why. You're doing great!

I’m not sure how much per day.. but I use the haakaa when nursing and pump before bed. I have 540oz in the freezer currently, she’s almost 7wks. I have an oversupply though.

I bought a haaka and can normally freeze about 3-6 ounces a day without trying. I’ve probably got about 30-40 ounces frozen for when I need anyone to have baby for a few hours! I honestly recommend the haaka so much! With my first I just had a manual pump but found it hard to fit it in.

Be sure to taste some thawed milk before you get too much of a stash in case you have high lipase milk that might need scalding before freeze

That’s a good amount I think!  I pump just once a day in addition to breastfeeding my LO and I JUST started getting about 2 oz.

Wow that’s a lot! I pump a decent amount but haven’t been able to store any of it because stuff comes up and my baby ends up drinking it within a day or so.
