When did you BD the cycle you were

Doing IUI? I have my CD12 ultrasound this Friday. If all goes well, trigger shot on Saturday. Then IUI on Monday. When should we BD? Should we BD before CD12? I just don’t want to hurt my chances. I’m so confused how this is seriously down to such a science. Can I BD CD11? I was thinking every other day before the ultrasound, then see what the doctor says after that. Thoughts? Advice? Tips? Any and all is greatly appreciated!!

We were instructed for my husband to not ejaculate for 2-3 days before providing his sample for the IUI. That’s supposed to ensure the best quality sample. We had sex the night of the IUI and the following 2 days.

I think maybe it depends on your partners sperm count? At least that’s what I was told by my RE. I know others that were told to wait, but we were not. The prob is me (I don’t always ovulate), but my hubs sperm count is good. They told us to to BD the night before, night of, and night after to increase our chance. We BD the night before and when we went in for our IUI this am his count was still really good. I was worried that it wouldn’t be, so that was a relief! This was our first IUI so it’s all I have to go off of! Hope it helps! (:

My dr always instructed me to BD the same night as trigger. So if iui was Monday morning we would BD and trigger Saturday night.
