Seatbelt doesn’t fit rear faced

Is anyone having trouble with their convertible car seat, having the car seat belt not fit to the buckle rear facing? We sold our little car that the seatbelt fit with the seat rear faced but our SUV is just not getting all the way to the buckle, like it’s not long enough.
