Baby boy has arrived via induction

Baby boy William born on January 17th at 7:11pm via induction.
FTM here and was induced at 38w5d for having gestational diabetes. I am so in love 🥰
I was in the hospital the night before and had a foley balloon placed. That started contractions right away. I had it in for the full 12 hours so I stayed at the hospital overnight. It was removed the next morning at around 8:30am and dilated me to 5cm, I was already at 2.5cm going in. They then broke my water and then started pitocin. The contractions started to pick up about 1.5-2 hours after having my water broken and being on pitocin. I have read everywhere that pitocin/inductions make contractions intense so I was very sure about wanting an epidural. When I started feeling the most intense contractions, I got the epidural and felt much better, I was 6cm. I finally progressed to 10cm and felt the urge to push at 6:20pm. The epidural took my pain away other than the intense pressure in my butt, I’ve never felt so much pressure in my life! It was awful. I pushed for a little less than an hour and my beautiful boy was born at 7:11pm. I didn’t think I was going to make it honestly with all the pushing, but it was all so worth it and I have the most precious boy. I have never done something so intense in my life! I was also so happy to no longer have gestational diabetes. I immediately ordered a cheeseburger and fries as well as cookie delivery 😆
