What does your toddler wear in the snow?

We are going on a trip to a snowy place. My son will be 18 months when we go. I’m hoping not to spend too much money but want to make sure I dress my toddler appropriately as I’m from somewhere that never snows. If you’ve visited the snow or live somewhere that snows- what shoes does your toddler wear? Trousers? Jacket? 
Most importantly- Where do you buy reasonably priced snow gear for toddlers?

If they are going to play in the snow, they should have a hat, gloves,  a snow suit and snow boots.  Definitely make sure they are dressed in layers as well.

Lots of layers and a snow suit. Tuck layers into the gloves and tuck gloves into the snow suit and/or larger jacket. Hat and hood. Socks and then more socks and then boots. Lol.
