What do you wish you knew?

I’m going to start TTC #1 at the end of March, and I’m curious... what do you know now that you wish you knew when you were first trying to conceive? 
Any tips for a first timer? 
I’m 37, if that changes anything, answer-wise!

At best, each month you only have a 30% chance of getting pregnant...
Start taking prenatals before you start TTC. Use OPKs to narrow down when you ovulate... have sex EOD during the fertile week... and at 37 you should let your doctor know you’re TTC because it’s recommended that your seek help if it’s been 6 months and you still haven’t conceived.

When you get a positive get an US ASAP even if the doctors says he wants to wait. I got pregnant at 34 last year and I trusted my doctor so we waited until I was 6 weeks pregnant to get an US and It turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy which is something in my wildest dreams wouldn’t even think it existed. 
It was extremely painful and by the time I got the US at 6 weeks my tube started rupturing and had to get emergency surgery blood transfusion etc. And the thing is you are at a higher risk of an ectopic the older you are. So don’t take no for an answer and get your ultrasound ASAP so they can confirm the location of the pregnancy before it’s too late. 
Also eat lots of veggies and take your prenatal lol

I wish I started doing OPKs and logging EVERYTHING. i thought it would be so easy, it was a first. Pregnant in the first month then a miscarriage at 6 weeks. And nothing now for 8 months. Didnt start using OPKs until four months ago and it has helped me track all sorts of symptoms and issue that I always thought were random. But wait until a missed period to test. Do your research. Read up on when implantation is, read through these forums. I just scroll through them sometimes and learn a lot and realize a lot of people dont know what is happening with their bodies!
