Did I ovulate on my own or ?

Question

I took letorzole 2.5 cycle day 3-7 and had a follicle scan on cycle day 10. My doctor said I had 8 eggs on both sides all measuring 12.5 mm so she said my body did not respond to the medication and that I wouldn't ovulate this month. Then I get this on cycle day 14. Do you guys think I ovulated on my own? I have never seen my tests so dark

So almost the same thing happened to me... I was on 2.5mg letrozole and none of my follicles were growing past 10mm. My doctor tested my estrogen and progesterone after my 3rd ultrasound (cycle day 20) and that showed I didn't ovulate, and that I was essentially at the beginning of a cycle. I tested with OPKs every single day, twice a day and never got a positive. They restarted me on a higher dose of Letrozole (5mg) right away and I went in for a scan 7 days later and a 22mm follicle. I think if you got a positive opk, there's a chance you did ovulate. Without blood work, or additional imaging, it's hard to say for sure!

Your doctor will do bloodwork to see if you ovulated:). It's really the only way to know.  You can still have positive OPKs and not ovulate unfortunately. But if you're being monitored, they'll check for ovulation💕

What type of doctor are you seeing?  I’m curious why they didn’t scan you again a few days later.   You could have easily had some mature follicles by then as they grow 1-2 per day.       Did they do any bloodwork?
