Ear infection?

How did you know your LO had an ear infection?

Fever was the only way I knew because she was totally happy otherwise. It was preceded by a pretty nasty cold that seemed to linger forever so when the fever started on top of the cold I kinda figured she had one.

My kids don’t run fevers, so it’s super hard to tell.  But our pediatrician told us that normally a good sign is them screaming or crying when you lay them flat on their back.  And that’s exactly what my son did when he had one.  He had no fevers, was super cranky in general, but every time we laid him flat to change his diaper he would cry super hard.

The doctor confirmed after she had been running a fever and pulling at her hair. She had been congested with a runny nose the week prior. She’s my 3rd and I knew that those were the trifecta lol. She’s on antibiotics now but yesterday got a fever again. I think I might take her in again

he had been sick for about a week already. it wasnt really going away, so I took him in. and he had an ear infection. he plays with his ears while he nurses, so I couldn't go by that. but it does require antibiotics before it gets worse. so if you have any doubt, I'd take baby in. 
the doctor explained to me just how easy it is for them to get an ear infection. 😞

The only time i knew was she ran a fever and would cry a lot and not want to drink her bottle. She always kinda plays with her ears so i couldn’t go by that.
