My son has been having a hard time pooping for 2 days now. He used to have frequent bowel movements a day and now they suddenly stopped. (He’s being breastfed). When he tries and poops his little face starts getting red and he grunts and tries and push but nothing comes out, his belly looks inflated and it’s a bit hard. I called his drs office and they said it was ‘normal’ but I feel somethings wrong. He also gained 10oz in only 6 days. Had a wic appointment and they weighed him and told me that’s too much to gain in such a short time that it’s most likely he’s constipated and he has all the poop stuck and that’s why he gained so much. But they don’t tell me anything to do to help him go poop😭 I’m a first time mom so I’m freaking out !!! Can someone help me and tell me what I can do to help him poop. I’ve tried the exercises and they haven’t helped!!! 😩
