Have you told your job your pregnant yet?

Asking because I’m 15 weeks and still haven’t told HR...

I told my boss a few days after finding out at 6 weeks because I work in Childcare and there are various Workplace Health and Safety Protocols for pregnant women in the workplace. Such as not working in a infant to 2 year room due to the risk of catching the CMV virus which is harmful to your unborn baby. Didn't really matter to me since I'm in the Kindergarten room but it's better to inform your workplace asap.

I told my boss when we were ttc as we had fertility issues. We had a ton of appointments that I needed to go to. He was completely supportive. So we told him when we did get pregnant and he was very happy for us. Our HR department has also been friendly and supportive of our questions. I feel that I’ve been lucky. I’ll have been at this company for a year in May.

I told at 8-9 weeks because being pregnant effected a lot of the things I am not able to do in my career while pregnant. Things that could be dangerous for the baby. If it doesn’t effect your career or safety of baby tell them whenever you are comfortable with it.

I did ivf so told my work from day 1 🤓 they have been quite helpful throughout the pregnancy.

Well, yes and no. My bosses and coworkers knew early on but we work for a large entity and HR isn’t even in my building. I haven’t gone over to HR to discuss yet, I will probably get that process started soon though. Last pregnancy it was really not that big a deal so I’m not rushing.

I told my bosses and just sent an email to HR yesterday. Still haven’t heard back yet but they are notorious for taking their sweet time 🙄

When I worked full-time, I waited until 17 weeks. No specific reason for that time. ￼
