Worst Pregnancy but Perfect Induction

RealPeachy • DeMorsiers Syndrome Awareness💙 Mom of 2 boys

I had been on prednisone for over half my pregnancy due to a systematic disease I have but didnt know about until I was 18 weeks so I was considered high risk and my baby was at higher risk of shoulder dystocia and etc due to how my medications affected fetal development. I had gained so much water weight and could barely breathe half the time, my pulse always ran over 100 it was seriously awful. I didnt even recognize my own face in the mirror because of all the side effects. But anyway, on the 2nd of January I went in for my 39 week appointment and my doctor told me she'd see me back at 7pm to start induction. I was beyond excited, my SO had to work and he works nights he went to work and I had my sister come with me to the hospital. They hooked me up to some monitors, started me on an oral medication of some kind and told me to get some sleep. I had already been having pretty regular contractions and they picked up more and more. At 3am my water broke, that was the weirdest feeling ever 😂 felt like baby had a weird spastic hiccup I was concerned until it felt like I couldn't stop peeing lol. I called my SO and he left work. They started the pitocin an hour or so after that and man those contractions hurt! They didnt even give me a grace period between they just kept going. I made it a few hours because I planned to go as natural as possible but I ended up getting an epidural. I could still move my legs at that point though. A nurse came in around 10am to put in a catheter but I had jumped to 10cm and babies head was right there I didnt even feel it, she called my doctor and she brought an OB student to assist with delivery (she asked beforehand), I pushed maybe 4 times and that was all it took! My sweet boy Juneau Sherman arrived January 3rd at 10:33am weighing 7lbs 14oz and measured 21 inches long
