July Newborn clothes??

Hi! I’m a first time mom and I’m not sure what clothes my newborn will need in July! 
Short sleeve onesies, long sleeve onesies, zipper footies, and how many?! Thank you!!!

I get short sleeves (I recommend 4 or 5)and then layer a hoodie (I recommend 2) on top. In a car seat you just put a blanket over their lap (I recommend 2 thin and 1 thicker one). Mine always slept in zipper footie PJs (I recommend 5-7, mine pretty much lived in sleepers until they were 4 months old)

It depends on where you live. Here, in Arizona, a short sleeve onesie is all we need because it is 115-120°F in July

I’m in the U.K. and for the past few years we’ve had heatwaves in Jul/Aug, as hot as mid 40C (104F +) and air con just isn’t a thing here unless you’re in the car, cinema or some shopping centres.
So I’m thinking just short sleeved onesies and then adding lighter layers as the temp cools off. 
Mother in law just bought a 0-3month fleecy cardigan for the baby, but I don’t think it’ll see much use 😭

I live in Ohio. I’m planning on getting short sleeved onesies and summery outfits. Probably a few pairs of pants. Maybe a couple long sleeved things but I highly doubt I’ll need that. I’m getting light sleepers for bedtime. We don’t have cooler days in the summer lol

This is my 2nd July baby. We had short sleeved onesies and thin cotton sleepers. Then I could swaddle him or later him if he needed extra warmth. We were in Idaho, so it wasn’t too hot, but we didn’t have air conditioning either. My little guy grew fast, so he was only in newborn size for maybe a week, but my 1st was smaller and slower in growth so he was in newborn for just over a month. So, I’d start with 8-10 outfits first, and then asses if you need more after they are here. Babies get clothes messy, so we had a few outfit changes most days. 
With this one, we’re in Idaho, so we will probably have more short sleeves and shorts and footless pjs. Thin swaddles as well.

It depends on where you love! In ohio id still get long sleeve and footies and whatnot because it can run chilly some days. Babies are used to being in your body, all that warmth ..

Advice I got was to buy the usual variety and just add or take off layers. My son has basically identical clothes year round but more or less layers depending on the temperature. He was a May baby so it was really good advice that I've actually followed pretty much his entire 20 month life.
An example is, if it's way too hot I would do short sleeves t-shirt and shorts or leggings, no socks. Moderate warm I'd add a short sleeved vest and socks.
Slightly cool would be short sleeved vest, long sleeved top, full length trousers and socks. Cold would then be a long sleeved vest instead of short, with a cardigan or jumper over top.
Newborns always need thin little hats no matter the season because they're not very good at keeping their temperature stable.

I had a winter baby in Jan19 and so this is a first for me. We live in SC so it’s hot in the summer. Baby won’t be going out a whole lot until after 2mo shots (should be cooler by that point vs 100 degree weather). I’m getting NB/0-3mo knot gowns because we make long kids instead of footie sleepers. Short sleeve onesies for when we go outside.

I was just thinking about this too. This is my second but my first was a winter baby, so there was no question that we would need warm clothes only. We live where it gets very hot/humid in the summer m, frequently in the 90°-100° range. I’m going to get a variety, bc even when it’s hot we run the air in the house.
