When can you expect to hear heart beat on doppler?

Today was my first appointment with my doctor, I'm 9w3d, she tried to hear the baby's heartbeat with the hand held doppler but couldn't hear it, also she said that she felt my uterus might be behind my pelvis still, she asured me it was normal, when did you firts hear your babies heart on a hand device? When did your uteurs start "coming out"?

No midwife or doctor will touch you with one here until 16 weeks and even then sometimes they wait until after your 12 weeks scan

When I went for mine at 9 weeks they couldn’t find a heart beat either and only reason they attempted to find one was  because I am so slender and if I was over weight they said they wouldn’t have tried.. It’s totally normal. Happened to my friend too. And my girlfriend recently gave me her Doppler and my husband and I heard the heart beat on MLK day and my doctor appointment was on January 16th. Don’t stress about it.

I heard it at 10 weeks but than it stopped but now at 11 weeks it’s constant

Mine won’t use the Doppler until after 12 weeks for this reason exactly.

Mine doesn't normally start checking until after 16 weeks But they could see it on the ultrasound

They weren’t able to hear mine with the Doppler until yesterday at 12 weeks.

Around 12-13 weeks. My doctor won’t try and listen before that because baby is too small so it makes it harder to find.

I found my babies heart beat on the Doppler at 9 weeks and 4 days I think! And I heard it again today at my appointment at 10 weeks 6 days!
