My boyfriend is still married

My boyfriend is going through a separation & is not ready to tell his wife/family/friends about me. He doesn’t live with her and hasn’t for the past 7 months. The divorce isn’t final yet though because they are saving up money to pay for the fee’s. Should I be concerned that he wants to continue to keep me a secret? Am I not being understanding?
