I think it depends on how serious the relationship is and if you would have a way of getting yourself back home if it ended badly. I think it also matters if you could find work and other ways to be involved in the community besides being at home with your SO. I personally wouldn’t do it unless if been with someone for a few years and we were very committed and serious.
