We’re finally starting to get some answers, though it’s not what I hoped for. After our anatomy scan on Jan 2 we were asked to come back Jan 6 to get some measurements that were missing. We go back - everything is fine no concerns. I then receive a call to go on January 15 for a whole new anatomy scan at this point I’m a little worried but figured maybe my doc is being overly picky and wants everything done at once. The real panic came when my receptionist at my Doc office called and referred me to a Hospital out of town for a Level 2 ultrasound, she mentioned they needed clearer photos of my baby girls foot. My SO wasn’t concerned at all, he took it as maybe baby was moving around too much.

Today we got that level 2 ultrasound done and the results were 2 soft markers for Down syndrome. I’m 21 years old, and we had genetic testing done at 12 weeks that came back all clear, so this took me completely by surprise. The doctor today said our risk was 1 in 15,000 as a result of our 12 week scan. We were offered the NIPT testing which usually costs $500 but because we have 2 markers it was covered. I have no idea what to think or how to feel - maybe it was the universes plan from when my SO and I used to speak about how cute DS babies were.

We get our results back in 2 weeks and I feel weird, I don’t know whether to be concerned that she may possible have it, or relieved that it’s not something way worse.

Her 2 markers were: sandal toe gap and echogenic focus. Has anyone had these and baby didn’t have DS?

Update: when I came out of my shower, my boyfriend says “did you look at the message i sent you?” I open my FB messenger and:
