When should I go to the doctor to confirm my pregnancy?

So I took a test this morning and got a faint positive. My period is still three days away and I have an appointment for tomorrow so I’ll still be two days early. I feel like the urine test will be negative since it’s so early. What do I do?? I’ve never done this before 😫

I never had the dr confirm pregnancy. I just called the ob and told them I had a positive test and they scheduled me accordingly.

Wait until the day of your expected period to test. But, it depends on your OBGYN. Some like to see you when you find out to confirm, and some won’t see you until 6-12 weeks! I think it’s best to give them a call and tell them you got a positive and schedule your appointment now, so you can get in. Also, if something happens, they’ll already know you’re pregnant.

I would call whomever you need to (PCM or OB) and tell them you are expecting, and how far along you are based on your LMP. They’ll schedule you accordingly. It’s never too early to start prenatal care!

If the urine test comes back negative request a blood test. That’s what happened to me and when the test came back positive they called me to set up an appointment.￼￼
