If you were/are on a birth control pill, did it cause you to gain weight?

I did. I was on birth control for five years and did everything I could to lose weight. Intense workouts, diets, etc. Nothing worked. I went off birth control and then I lost 25 lbs in less than a year. 
I think everyone’s body reacts differently. I have a sister who doesn’t gain at all (except on her boobs lol) and another sister who had to get off her iud because she was gaining a lot from it.

Can I blame birth control for my weight gain? It’s a lot easier than admitting I eat too much.

In the beginning (first 2 months) yes. After that, it never affected me. But those first couple months were hell..my emotions were crazy, I would break out, the bloat was real. I've been off bc for 8 years and never felt better lol

They made me LOSE weight when I was already small smh.

I gained more weight when I went off BC, but I also have PCOS 🤷🏼‍♀️
