Sorry for the long post... FTM concerned.

I’m 35+1 with Di/Di twins.

My pregnancy has been mostly decent.

This morning I woke up and noticed that the pad I wear at night was covered in blood. Fresh red blood. I also had a gelatin like clot and strings of blood in my urine. I didn’t feel like I was in any pain, any contractions..nothing. I just saw blood. I called my after hours nurse at my OB office, she said to go to L & D right away. Still bleeding, I gave them a urine sample with chunks of blood... they said it may have been related to some kidney stones I had a couple weeks before. I’m familiar enough with stones that I know that clot wasn’t from them. I’ve seen a similar clot when I’ve been in my period since I have endometriosis.

Anyway, 4 hours of monitoring me and the babies, a cervix check- not dilated, and a urine analysis- I had a couple contractions that were minor. They said my placentas are looking aged, and to go to my regular scheduled appointment I had today.

So a few hours later, I went to my normal doctor appointment, I had another ultrasound, NST and doctor. We bumped up my scheduled c section from 38 to 37 weeks and they sent me home.

They didn’t seem worried about the blood, in fact I was told bleeding is normal this far along in a twin pregnancy. I’ve not had any spots of blood my entire pregnancy.

I don’t really have any concerning symptoms or contractions close together, babies are moving fine. Just the bleeding. For the most part it has calmed down but every now and again there are spots of blood in my urine again.

So is this something any of you have gone through?

Is bleeding normal? Doctors don’t seem concerned.
