At your glucose test did your doctors office take a baseline draw?

My next dr appointment I am getting the glucose test done and the dr office told me to drink the drink on my way. 
My sister is a phlebotomist and when I was talking to her about it she said that there should be a baseline draw so they can see your baseline blood sugar and your blood sugar after the drink.

Not for the 1-hour. I've never heard of this before...lol. I believe they normally test your blood sugar when you have your initial bloodwork done, so maybe that's what she's talking about? In all reality though, there is a pretty standard range that your blood sugar should be within that hour fasting window, so I don't see there being much point to taking baseline levels with something like that...it's not as subjective as some other levels they check with blood tests.

I only had it at my 3 hour test. They had me fast that morning to get my fasting blood sugar and then every hour after drinking it.
I didn’t fast the morning of the 1 hour and they only took one blood draw after the hour.

Where I live they do a blood draw before you drink it then drink it and 2 hours later do another one

For 3 hour test they will normally for 1 hour they wont or will do it if the person has preexisting health issues
