How early did you start reading to baby?

I read an article on here about the importance of reading, but it didn’t say how early? So how early did you start reading to your LO?

In the womb lol.  I continued to read to him at least once a day right after birth.

From birth but we did go through a phase where she wasn’t interested and just threw the book, we’d attempted it every few days but it only lasted about a month or month and half around the 9-11 month area (can’t remember exactly). She’s 3.5 and I have a 17m old as well and we read 10 or more books (7-12page kids books) a day, usually the same ones in two or three sessions through out the day.

I’ve been reading to my daughter since she was 8 weeks  in the womb- I have a dr Seuss book that’s meant to be read to baby while in utero. Then we continued to read every night as part of our bedtime routine- I’ve got a 4 month old in the mix now too 🥰 📚

First day of birth. Babies find comfort in your voice. They also encourage you to talk as much as you can to your baby. If you're changing them, explain to them each step. It's good for them. I believe for their vocabulary later on when they start saying small words. We would use books with objects with words. My daughter could point out every single object in the book no problem. And could say certain words.

Right away. He has reflux so he’s always been read to for 20-30 min after his bottles while we hold him upright. That’s starting to get a little tricky now that he’s 11 months and just wants to be up and moving, but he still enjoys being read to

probably 2 weeks old. And she is obsessed with books and “reading” aka looking at all the pictures and pointing out all the words she knows.
