Has anyone used a jolly jumper? Are they harmful in anyway?

I kind of want to get one for my daughter. It honestly looks so fun lol. But I’m worried it’d hurt her feet somehow? If she jumps on her tippy toes. Does anyone have this or know about it?

Yes here your told not to use them as it can hurt their hips and give them hip dysplasia

The risk of hip dysplasia is from long term use. Like leaving them in it for hours at a time, but 10-20minites at a time is just fine. 
Something I tell everyone asking about these is to have baby on flat feet. I know the instructions say tip toes, but I pca'd a  kid and his physical therapist and she said there's an alarming rate of kids needing surgery and pt to correct tightened Achilles tendon and calves due to being on tiptoes in these contraptions. My oldest I went with the instructions, and he's still walking tip toes at 4, and my youngest I placed flat footed and there's no issues so far.

I had a door jumper for my daughter and never had any problems. If she was in a doorway that had some type of step under it,  I put a blanket to protect her feet

We have the door jumper version and the only “bad” thing about it is she hates when it’s time to get out of it! Lol she’s seriously living her best life when she’s jumping 😂 She loves that thing so much! I do put a blanket underneath her just so it’s a softer surface for her to jump on.

We just hold baby in a standing position and let him bounce as much as he wants (7 months now). I can't imagine it's good for their hips / legs / back / etc. but I don't have any scientific backing for you. I'm pretty sure you're never supposed to leave baby unsupervised in it so I don't really see the purpose, to be honest. What skills is it practicing?

My LO used the door jumper version and he never had any issues. It says specifically on the instructions to not leave them in there for long periods. If used properly, it is completely harmless.  Let your LO have some fun! My LO LOVED it!

My son is 9m old and has no issues . 
He had a door jumper and one of those walk around activity centers. No issues with feet or hips.
It's just when they are young it's bad for the hips.
