NICU STAY

How long can baby stay in NICU if sugar levels are to high? I have GD and on insulin, I'm being induced this coming Wed and I'm terrified of my little man having to go to the NICU. If anybody has been through this before can u plz tell me ur experience, was the stay long? Did baby get taken straight after delivery, I just want to know what to expect thank you for your time
