Second Baby Shower?

Are these becoming more of a thing? I've seen a few people have them? Is there a time that it's appropriate between kids, like does it have to be a year or more?

I’m pregnant with baby 2 and my MIL threw us a small shower. I used to think it was taboo but now having baby 2 I feel like why not celebrate every baby? Our daughters will be almost 2.5 years apart.

I think people can do what they want. But, you only get one from me unless second baby is born 4 to 6 years later

My family insisted I have a second baby shower. I was fine going without, but it had been over 8 years since my last child so it was useful (didn't have anything from my previous child). I've honestly always seen baby showers for every child. I didn't know it was typically for just the first child (or first of that gender) until I got this app

I find that people have strong feelings against having 2 baby showers. I, personally, think it's fine. Why not? At the end of the day it's just another party to celebrate the new life of a child. It's where friends and family who love you come together to shower you with love and gifts. Isn't that what we are supposed to do anyways?
Have another shower, celebrate that new baby, and everybody eat some cake!

I have 3 kiddos my 2 oldest are 2 years apart and my 3rd is 6 years younger then my middle. We had a baby shower for each of them. Because our 2 oldest were closer in age we had a lot of baby things so we just told people if they wanted go get something we could always use diapers otherwise come over have some snack and celebrate the new baby to be. Our 3rd we had another one because we didnt have anything but we weren't expecting anything other then our friends hand me downs. Most of our friends had girls and their cloths have been circulating around for a few years.

I find it awkward to have a second baby shower but know several people who have / are doing it even with kiddos that are only a couple years apart. Definitely seems to be more normal now than it was. My daughter is 4 and I’m pregnant with #2 but don’t think I’ll have another shower. It feels like a gift grab but that’s just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️
