Does snapchat get locations really wrong

My husbands location was in a town near us. I asked if he stopped there for work. He said he wasn't there at all. Can snapchat really get the location wrong? It showed him near a house and said within 2 miles. When I asked about it he raised his voice and said I kept asking about it ( I asked twice) and that he knew what I was insinuating.

We've been together for a while, like 8 years. He has not given me a reason to not trust him, like at all. I mainly think it's because of the way I see myself and feel about myself. That's why I'm having a hard time believing him. I want to look through his phone but I'm scared he will catch me going through it.
