Okay so weird question but why all shows and movies about witches and haunted stuff take place in New Orleans? I’ve been so fascinated about this place now that I want to visit 🤔

I would guess that combined with its deep history, new orleans is home to a lot of creole immigrants who brought things like voodoo with them. 
I’ve never been, but my friend works at a haunted house there. I think they also feed into the ideas for tourism which creates a cycle.

History of Voodoo, they have lots of neat shops and tours that talk about the history of the area. And a lot of old plantation style houses in swampy “creepy” areas.
