Prolactin year results, what does it mean?

I’m on my second round of letrozole to stimulate ovulation. Ovulation was proven last month, via progesterone blood draw. But this month my doctor had me do a prolactin blood draw. It ended up being 29.0. I have to wait to Monday to find out if that’s good/bad/normal.
Anyone go through anything similar?

Mine was 49, turned out to be a prolactinoma. I’m on dostinex now and it’s less than 1!

Mine was borderline high and so my doc ordered an mri, found out I have a benign growth on my pituitary gland called a prolactinoma (they’re relatively common and not dangerous), put me on cabergoline 2x a week, and my levels were down to normal in 4 weeks. It’s not a huge deal if your second test is also high :) Make sure you do the test in the morning, fasting for 12 hours, and no sex/nipple stimulation for 24 hours before (these can all skew results).

That’s high enough to impact ovulation. It’s right in the border of pathological. My doc said even when in “normal range” it just means not bad enough to be diagnosed with a disease, not that it is good. She put me on Cabergoline to get it down, which brought it down to 11, she said still not good enough for ideal ovulation window, so added Vitex (Pure Encapsulations brand) daily. That brought me to 6, and now she is happy with maintaining that.
