Impossible to lose weight with nexplanon implant?

So I got the nexplanon put in after I had my daughter last spring. Since then it’s been a roller coaster with my emotions and periods. I’ve gained about 10 pounds since it was put in, so lately I have been trying to lose that weight, and it’s seemed to be impossible! I’m wondering if this is another side effect of the implant? I’ve always been very successful losing weight by counting calories, and it’s just not working.

Lately I’ve been thinking I should get it out and try something else.
