Stopping formula

So I was pretty bad on getting my LO to eat “solids” before a year.. so recently I stopped formula and am giving milk and actual food. My problem is that I feel as if my son isn’t eating enough and still only wants formula as his primary food.. for example breakfast he only eats a few bits of pancakes and has 5oz of milk and that’s it then he doesn’t want fruit or vegetables and he will eat yogurt and stuff for snacks but lunch again he will only eat a little bit and then get tired of eating and want formula.. I’m really worried about him not eating enough..

My doctor told me to stop formula all together and get him eating foods and drink milk water and a tiny bit of juice

There are toddler formulas if you feel more comfortable supplementing until you can get him eating better! If you make homemade pancakes you can purée fruit in the mix. There are tons of other recipes like that on Pinterest for other foods!

im in the same boat. I hope things get better soon! I still give formula 2-3x a day bc i worry so much about him not getting enough nutrients. The dr said his iron was low today and to cut down on the milk but i only give him about 10oz or less of cows milk a day! I usually always give him a multivitamin as well but i ran out a couple of days ago. It scares me when he only takes a couple bites and doesnt eat for like 5 or 6 hrs 😔

My son was all about the milk diet and not about food. He is 3.5 and we just got him off milk. We kept trying, but then he would lose weight and so refuse to eat. Keep pushing it and try different foods. Make table time fun with certain table toys or stimulants.

i make foods and blend them to chunkier consistency, then freeze them in silicone cube trays and feed him later. My little babe is 13 months and still has at least 3 8oz bottles of formula a day. There’s no right or wrong way of doing it! 😊

Did you start weaning at 6 months or only just?
