How long does teething last??

My 4 month old has been definitely teething for about a week now. She wants to chew on literally everything and seems so uncomfortable if she isn’t. How long does this usually last??

It might not be teething. Around 4 months is when babies try to explore things by putting everything in their mouths. Expect a lot of chewing on stuff, drooling, and dont be surprised if no teeth show up for a few more months.

Like a year. Mine started at 6m and has been non stop teething until now at 18m he has all his teeth. Some days/weeks are worse then others. I usually try to keep Tylenol or Motrin on standby for bedtime if he’s really having a bad day but mostly I give him frozen yogurt tubes, cold water, he’s not really into teething toys anymore but those when he was smaller.

Forever, I swear. At my son's 9m appointment we were told his gums were really swollen and he'd get a tooth any day. The first tooth popped through during his 12m appointment.

I thought my baby was teething at four months... still no teeth at six and a half months. Chewing/drooling is just normal.
Also teething apparently lasts like two years 😂😫

Teething typically happens for just a few days before and after each tooth erupts, so if it’s been a week and there’s no tooth it’s most likely not teething.
