Cyst??

Question

My last ultrasound the tech saw a cyst.. I’ve never had one.. is this something i should really be worried about?? Will it mess with the safety of the baby?

every woman should have a cyst if she's pregnant once your egg becomes fertilized the ovary that released the egg develops a cyst that releases progesterone which stops your uterus from contracting and starting menses. That's completely normal.

I had ovarian cyst spotted on my 12 week scan, I had to do another scan at 15 weeks and it got smaller, today at my scan at 21 weeks it completely went away, I honestly freaked out when they told me. But it’s nothing major and usually goes away. Don’t stress over it too much.

I was in the same situation. I had never had one before and they said they saw one on my ultrasound. It didn’t end up effecting the baby. They will keep an eye on it to make sure though.
