In my opinion if it's to the point where you guys need a break from the relationship there's no point in trying to continue the relationship.

Depends on how long the break is I would say, my boyfriend and I had a rough patch like 6-7 months ago and took a few days to just kinda not text and do our own thing. Just some time apart. 
But when we discussed it he was like “I don’t wanna talk to other people” which I was 100% on the same page with that.
Sometimes you need a breather to clear your head a bit. But be clear on boundaries such as seeing other people etc.

taking a break only really works if y’all discuss what the term “break” means.. like taking a break but still knowing y’all will continue the relationship is different than just flat out taking a break. If you feel as if you just need space for a bit and wanna dial down (the both of you)then that could work and eventually y’all will just get back into a relationship that works for y’all. But taking a break as in not really in a relationship and dating other people and acting completely single, no most people don’t get back together. but some do. Think about taking a step back before taking a break. If you just don’t want to deal w/ that person at all break up is most likely the choice you want

I put no even tho we did get back together for a short period then ended up breaking up. If you need a break, then there's no fixing it. Time to move on.

I’ve never taken a break in a relationship. To me I wouldn’t. Both my cousin did and he got back with the girl and they are HAPPILY married with a baby.
