40+, TTC, AND lesbian?

This is a whole other type of struggle.
There is no "just relax, it will happen when you stop trying"!
We don't have that option.
It is a daily grind of heartbreak, anxiety, financial hardship, and fear of time.
Looking for anyone out there who can relate...cause heterosexuals just cannot understand...it is not the same.

Girl, we are in the same boat! 42, ttc, my wife and I are 1 week into the 2 week wait and its driving me nuts! I had a total thyroidectomy in November and thank God it was negative for cancer. Now it's just getting my levels normal....My OBGYN cleared us to try this cycle still because my TSH wasnt abnormally high that it would interfere. But I have an appointment with the fertility specialist if this doesn't take. At least then I'll know egg quality, or if there's any issue with my fallopian tubes, etc.

There are lots of women struggling with major fertility problems that leave IVF as the only option. Scarred or missing tubes. Endo. Fibroids. One woman at the pharmacy was doing it after surviving cancer. She had to have her eggs retrieved prior to chemo and then her only option was IVF afterward.

If Uve never looked into using an egg donor as well as a sperm donor theres a chat room on this app for it.U have time if U go that route..not that u wont get your wish maybe using your own wggs..for me it s too expensive .At 43 the 5 percent chance goes to around 2 percent.Best wishes to U
