Did you take just IV and dilate all the way to deliver naturally? Why is there a limit of three IVs only?

Sindhu

I was only 1cm dilated between Friday and Monday mornin. More than 36 hours of wave pains but was told at hospital to take epidural or go back home. IV has a limit of only three and I wasn’t sure if I could be dilated completely with just three IVs.

You can be up to 3 cm for WEEKS before delivering. If you've been at a 1 for 36 hours, you're likely not in active labor which is why they are telling you to go home. I'm sure if they give you the epidural it's because they would start you on pitocin to progress you.

Go home, take a nap, and go back when you are in active labor. There’s no reason to push your body too far to have a baby sooner this is why so many inductions end in c section.

They told her she could go home.

Not all inductions are by choice purely to have baby sooner. At my 39 week appt scan showed sudden serious decrease in fluid from previous week and baby was also ten pounds already. Would have definitely ended in emergency c section to continue carrying another week plus.

I’m not sure I understand the question but I was induced with pitocin, had many bags of it over 28hr labor along with IV fluids and epidural. So much fluid I was incredibly puffy for ten days after delivery especially legs and feet swollen worse than during pregnancy. Pitocin was cranked up last few hours got me from stuck at 4cm directly to 10.
