So I found out my boyfriend cheated  on me and I’m currently pregnant with his daughter 😔 I decided to break up with him for obvious reasons but i still let him come around and nothing has really changed but our title I’m just tryna stay on good terms even tho he cheated for the sake of our baby am I wrong should I cut ties until the baby’s born? I love him sfm and I just can’t let him go completely rn I’m not ready😭😭😭😭

I wouldn’t call you dumb. You are vulnerable and he is taking advantage of that. Try and think of your situation less emotionally and think more long term. A child has never benefited from having a father who mistreats and disrespects their mother. Also consider the inconsideration he is having for your child’s welfare and your own.... cheating is opening you and the baby up to health risks which can be very serious. Then there is the idea of what having him around in your head and heart versus the reality of what it would actually be like. You are imagining his best self being there for you, while he is offering his worst self. If I were you I’d take the space from him and see if he can pull his head out of his ass. Having no consequence for his actions is not likely to result in any changes in his heart, or behavior.

If he’s inconsistent with you, I can only imagine how inconsistent he’s going to be for his child. You need to cut him off. You don’t owe him anything, outside of carrying his child. And even then, I wouldn’t put up with someone trying to be back and forth and inconsistent in their child’s life. They’re either in or their out. This isn’t the cha-cha slide.

I'd cut ties. He stuck his dick in another woman while you were carrying his child. A guy like that isnt worth your time.  You don't have to be on the best terms with him, thats what family court is for.  I know thats easier said than done tho, sometimes its hard to turn off your feelings.

You’re not dumb. But you could be making smarter choices. It’s completely understandable and very mature of you to want to stay on good terms for the baby. It would make sense for him to go to doctors appointments if that’s something he’s comfortable with. But you might want to start limiting one on one time between the two of you, so you have time to fully heal emotionally. You’ll want that to happen before the babies born, because once the babies born you’ll probably spend more time together. But always try to keep it platonic.￼
