Stay at home moms, how much do you expect your SO to help you around the house?

I typically do more chores just because there are some things I can get done while I’m home, but this pregnancy has been really terrible for me and my husband has been doing the majority of chores.

My partner works 12 hr shifts - 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on 2 days off 2 days on 3 days off etc.. we have a 19 month and 4 month old and we share responsibilities equally with our home and kids. We are a team.

My husband helps when he gets home. I don’t ask him to do anything specific he just kinda helps. His mom raised him with him always helping her when he got home from school so it’s just natural for him. I’d say he probably does about.. 30-40% of the chores. He works an 8 hour job but has a long commute, so he is gone from 3am to 5:30-6

Besides him having extra chores right now due to me being on light duty because of a delivering baby  early scare...I do all the chores throughout the day in the house. My husband only does dinner dishes and vacuums on Saturdays usually. He also does all outdoor chores that need to be done less often such as snow blowing,  lawn mowing, and other yardwork in the spring/summer.  I help with yardwork when I can because we have plants all around our house. He works like 50-60 hours per week and is our sole income right now because I can't work at the moment, and I plan on staying home with the baby. I don't think it's fair for him to do half or more than half of the chores on a regular basis since I am home.

My husband is an early bird so the only thing I expect him to do is let the dogs out and make the morning coffee. He works 40hrs a week with some over time. He'll take initiative himself when I fall behind on laundry and other chores but I like being a SAHM so I dont mind and do what needs to be done. I will ask him to cook occasionally when I'm not in the mood but that doesnt happen often cause he really cant cook. Lol. Its sweet that he tries though.

He takes put the trash washes dishes(sometimes) cleans the pet room cuz I'm pregnant. When he is off he will help with laundry and takes care of our 7 month old in the morning so I can sleep in.

He works 8+ hours a days, 5 days a week. I do all the chores. The only help i ask for is changing the babies diaper when we finish dinner so i can wash the dishes. I usually get everything done before he gets here so i dont need help when he comes home and i dont like asking him since i know hes tired. Hes more than happy to help if i ever need it though.

I much prefer doing the cleaning, so I’m much more likely to ask him to play with the kiddos while I finish getting done whatever didn’t happen during the day. I take care of food most of the week for me and the kiddos, including supper for him. He’s a mood eater and loves to cook, so even though I try to make sure there’s enough leftovers for him to take, he usually makes his own lunch. On the weekends, we split, plus go to his parents and/or do takeout. I do the laundry and the grocery shopping, he does car maintenance, lawn care and snow blowing. Although I do plan on taking more of that on now that my baby is no longer a baby...badly need some more alone time.

I typically do most of the stuff around the house. I am currently in early pregnancy and have a very hard time with nausea and frequent vomiting. I do what I can but with a toddler on top of pregnancy I am not able to do even close to my usual so he has been taking on a lot more.

I personally feel bad asking my husband to do anything bc I'm home all day and he's working a hard job and crazy long hours to provide for us. He doesn't complain (all the time) if he has to help me and doesn't hold anything over my head about him working and me not working lol I just would rather do everything. Though we do split the laundry chore for rn, eventually I'd like him to not worry about anything at home.
